What Software Do Most People Use ?

In this world full of technological advancements software and hardwares are one of the most important things to keep up with these advancements. The software was first written in the year the 1980s and it was originally sold on floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs but nowadays it can be downloaded straight from the internet. Softwares are the set of various computer programs as well as all the data and documents. Software and hardware are two contrasting components; software is used to build the system and based on the software the system works. Software is further divided into two parts-

  • Application Software- Application software helps in assisting or running a specific task.
  • System Software - Whereas system software helps in running an overall system.

There are much other software that also performs various other tasks and helps the developers develop new software. Middleware is one such software that bridges the gap between system software and applications. The software helps s the operations of computer devices and peripherals.

Some software are commonly used worldwide. Some of those are mentioned below-

  • Microsoft Windows-It is one of the most used and renowned computer software, it can be said that without this software it is quite impossible to get anything working on your computer. It is pre-installed software on most of the systems and significantly helps in running the system. There are many variants of this software which are popularly known as – XP, Vista, Win-7, Win-10 etc. Some of these are not so popular but are equally important in the software field.
  • Android- this software is used to run smartphones, what function does Microsoft windows play in running a computer android does the same in smartphones. Android is Linux kernel based and has some connection with Linux and open source software. Android is installed by makers like- Samsung, HTC, MI, OPPO etc.
  • Whatsapp- It is one of the most used communication software through which we can exchange various multimedia such as – photos, videos, voice notes with friends and family. Whatsapp is a popular name now and everybody is using it around the globe.
  • Linux- Windows is one of the most popular computer system software, is not suitable for everyone. Some people like Linux so they tend to remove windows and install Linux to suit there working needs.There are various types of Linux operating systems- Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Fedora etc.

Using software makes everything easy as it assists the user and helps them in saving time and getting work done at an exceptional level. Some of the advantages of using software are as follows-

  1. Whenever we create a password on any site these software suggests us stronger passwords so that no one could crack it.
  2. In this world of vlogging and digitalized entertainment, there are software that help in editing, recording and uploading such things. Software is used at every step whether it is for editing the clip or getting a youtube thumbnail ready.
